Beauty Haul // September

This might as well be the most exciting haul on my blog so far. I have been waiting to get all of these products for soooo long and now they finally arrived in the mail. It makes me feel like it is already Christmas. I do not own a lot of high end make-up products and I try to select what to get very carefully so I do not waste my money on something I am not going to use. When it comes to the following products I have been planning to buy them for (and this is no exaggeration) years which is why I am just so much more excited for them.

Benefit the POREfessional: This is one of those all-time-classic beauty products to me. I have read reviews about this products for a while now and while I have read about a few saying it was over-hyped the vast majority really liked it. The benefit the POREfessional is an expensive product especially when you don''t even know if you are going to like it. That is why when I saw they sold sample sizes at Karstadt I had to get one of them to finally try it out.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: My (amazing) boyfriend got this for me as a gift and I am so overly excited about it. My best friend has this palette and I have used it a few times when I got ready at her place. There really is a difference between Urban Decay (or MAC) eyeshadows and regular drugstore eyeshadows. Drugstore products can be fine and you definitely do not need high end eyeshadows but they are better and if the price difference is worth it to you, you should definitely give them a try.

Fleur de Force Eyeshadow Quad 020 Lunar Rose: I am obssesed with Feur de Force. She is by far my favorite youtuber and I love all of her videos. Her style when it comes to make-up, hair, fashion and decor is very distinct and I find it so inspiring. So of course I have been wanting to try her make-up line for over a year now since it came out. Now I finally can.

Fleur de Force Lip Gloss 030 Starlight, 050 Starry Starry Night & 020 Written in the Stars: The color selection in this line is wonderful. Since I could not justify buying all of them I only ordered my three favorites.

Tanya Burr Lip Gloss Berry Picking: On the website this gloss did not even look like a color I would enjoy but I saw Tanya Burr wear this shade in one of her videos and I just loved they way it looked on her. I do not think I ever heard anything bad about Tanya Buss Cosmetics so I am looking forward to giving this a try.

Sorry for saying 'excited' a lot ;)

essence all about Nudes eyeshadow palette

This palette is part of essence new autumn and winter additions to their selection. Out of all the palettes they came out with I liked this the best. The color selection in the palette makes it perfect for travelling. There are two highlight shades three mat lid colors, one shimmer one and two crease shadows. Of course that is not what you have to use the for but that is how I apply them.

I only wear eyeshadow with eye primer. That is why I applied Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion before swatching these shadows.

These colors swatch and apply beautifully! Usually I cannot recommend essence eye shadows, the quality is hardly ever good. These once I love! They are not unbelievably amazing or incredible colors but they are great basics. Especially for how cheap they are. My favorite color is the one in the bottom right. I like the dark brown with the silver shimmer. It is by far the most special color in the palette.

Actually the places where I have swatched these shadows are pretty true to how they apply. They do look different in the pan than on the lids but the places I swatched them are the right shades.

Final Thoughts

This is not a must buy because the colors are pretty common. It is a great basic or travel palette though. For that purpose it is amazing! If you want it - get it. It is a great eyeshadow palette form the drugstore and I might even try the other versions of this. Especially for price!

What eye shadow palette can you recommend?

Travel Make Up Essentials

I am going home to my parents place for almost a month but I did not want to bring a massive amount of make up. I packed things for an everyday look and products I wanted to wear for going out with my friends. I did not pack any foundation because I hardly ever wear foundation and I find it a waste of space in my bag most of the time.

Catrice Big City Life Limited Edition - The Paris Collection
This was a limited edition palette but you can find pallets like this at for example benefit. The palette contains two blushes and an eye pencil which is why I did not pack any additional ones. The eyeshadows are all shimmery but I wore so many mat shades over the winter that I did not feel like packing more mat shadows for this trip. I love all the colors in this palette- they are great for everyday wear! Catrice had three limited editions like this yet and I have some palettes from every collection - I can highly recommend them all. So next time you see one get it!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
If I want to wear eye make up I need to take a primer with me and this is my current favorite. I don't think I have to talk about this much, do I? Everybody knows it and I do not think I ever heard of anyone not liking it.

Catrice Glamour Doll Mascara
I really like this mascara so far but I have not used it long enough to tell you how I really feel about it.

Catrice Liquid Liner 010 Dating Joe Black
I was really into liquid liner for the last year and I still like to wear it now and then. I had other "types" of eyeliner before (like gel or pencil) but I like this one the best.

essence clear brow & lash mascara and Catrice Eyeshadow Duo 070 Double Espresso Macchiato, Please!
The eyeshadow duo that I use to fill in my brows is no longer available, sorry - but the brow gel is! This product is not the best but I have not found a better one yet. It does not keep my brows in place for the whole day but it is still a lot better than not putting anything on. I also like the look it gives to my brows... I do'nt really know what it is :P

Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette
I have had this palette for a while now but never really used it. The only colors I used are the mat black shadow and the other two brown mat shades. I packed this palette because I needed an black eyeshadow and because I want to try using it more! I think I can do great everyday looks with this but also create looks for going out.

Catrice Mattifying powder in 5 shades 020 Sand Beige
This would be way too dark for me to use all over my face - that would look really strange :D I use this product for contouring. I love the packaging and the look of the product. Somehow I also like the smell of it but I don't think it's supposed to be scented ;)

Maybelline Pure Powder 015 Translucent
The first face powder I ever bought was this one just in another color. That is why I cannot compare it to any other ones but I can say that I like it and I repurchased this a few times now.

I really like this concealer and I will buy it again if I ever use it up. The color is perfect for my skin tone and I like how it applies.

Hema lipstick 30 Pure Shine
I packed the Catrice lipstick for going out, the essence one for everyday and the Hema lipcolor for whenever I feel like wearing red :P I did swatches of these lipsticks before so I only swatched the Hema lipstick for this post because I don't think I did that before. It does not have the best quality but considering the price I am fine with that.

And how do I transport all of that? Like this! My brushes all fit into the Zoeva Bamboo Brush Role (on the right) which makes transporting them a lot easier. My make up bag is from Rossmann. I love the design and the size of it. It looks rather small but you can fit a lot of stuff in there. Rossmann sells a wide range of make up bags and they constantly change the designs. If you are on the hunt for a new one definitely check out Rossmann.

What do you take with you when you travel? What palettes or eyeshadows do you bring? How much do you take? And how do you transport it?

Love,
